Conveniently located in the Lune Valley between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. Only 10 minutes drive from the M6 Junction 36 Pickle Farm is an ideal base to discover the many delights the area has to offer.

Walk from the door to the popular climbing spot of Hutton Roof Crags, and to the Rakes, a designated area of scientific interest which has a spectacular limestone pavement, fossils and rare plants. A few minutes drive away is the nature reserve and bird sanctuary at Leighton Moss.

Walk to Kirkby Lonsdale (3 miles) to visit Devil's Bridge, Ruskin's View and the many interesting shops, coffee shops and restaurants in the town.

Drive to Ingleton for the waterfalls and caves or for serious walking try the Three Peaks of Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen y Ghent. 
Visit the market towns of Dent, Settle and Skipton. The Settle to Carlisle railway is only 30 minutes' drive away.

In the other direction is the Lake District, famous world-wide for its scenery, fell walking and literary heritage.
